The TV series Gotham went on break about 3 weeks ago… and I’ve been having withdrawals since. My Monday nights have been empty without it. The midseason finale aired on November 24th and boy, did it leave us with a cliffhanger. Well, fear not. The hiatus is almost over. We’ve got about two more weeks before episode 11, “Rogue’s Gallery” airs.
To whet our appetite and get us eagerly anticipating the midseason premiere, Fox has released the official synopsis and a few promo images.
Last we saw our future commissioner Gordon, he was being reassigned to guard duty at the newly re-opened Arkham Asylum.
Here is the synopsis for the newest episode:
“Det. Gordon’s assignment at Arkham Asylum gets off to a rocky start when the murder of a guard ignites an investigation, leading him to meet Dr. Leslie Thompkins (guest star Morena Baccarin). Meanwhile, Cobblepot continues to build his army.”
Looks like Jim is going to see some action at the asylum, after all. I should be more excited over the introduction of Leslie Thompkins, however, we all know we’re watching for that little devil, Oswald Cobblepot. I was none too thrilled with the latest development of the Barbara arc, so let’s hope that that has more of a satisfying follow-up.
Here are some interesting images shared by Fox:
That man with the mop head indicates to me that we are going to be seeing some very fun patients. Also, it’s Arkham. They’ve got to have a ton of Easter eggs, right? Some subtle ones, perhaps? That’d be cool. Speaking of crazy, looks like Ivy’s back. Is it me or is that girl like 2 years older than the girl that played Ivy in the pilot? Kids these days are growing up far too fast.
January 5th marks the return of Gotham, so mark your calendars. Check it out at 8PM EST/7PM CST, on Fox.
