Nightwing Led ‘Titans’ Possibly Coming To TNT

It’s a great time to be a fan of DC Comics. I thought I was spoiled during the latter years of Smallville when guest appearances from heroes and villains became the rule and not the exception. Now we have Arrow and The Flash on The CW (with iZombie on its way mid-season), Gotham on Fox, Constantine on NBC and Supergirl being pitched to various networks. But it doesn’t end there – Titans is very likely headed to TNT as a prime time cable drama!

The team of young superheroes will be led by former Robin Dick Grayson who, according to Deadline, “emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven and many others.”

The show will be produced and written by Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes. This is a good time to strike while the iron is hot, considering that Young Justice developed a cult following before ending its run and Teen Titans Go! is still pulling in viewers on Cartoon Network. A team of teenage superheroes will really set itself apart from other DC based shows on TV. Stay tuned to DKN for more information. I can barely contain myself.
