Long before we were blessed with games from the Batman Arkham series, Lego Batman, or even games that I felt were under-appreciated like Batman Begins or Batman: Vengeance, we had LCD handheld games from companies like Tiger. If you were a kid in the 1990’s, you likely owned a game like this at one point or another. Sure, we had superior consoles like Game Boy or Game Gear at the time, but children get drawn into the marketing maelstrom more than most. If it had a character you liked or was a poor facsimile of an NES game like Ninja Gaiden, you HAD to have it.
Basically, all you did was fling projectiles at enemies with having extremely limited mobility yourself. Sounds lame, huh? Well, it provided Triassic era kids like me with hours of entertainment! As an added bonus, I’ll throw in this picture of the Street Fighter II watch game. Yes, I had that too. It was THE definitive version, no doubt. Why spend time at the arcade or in front of a Super NES when you could play as one whole character on your Dick Tracy style watch?
