Jason Momoa has NOT Dyed his Hair Blond

Jason Momoa, who has been cast (depending on who you ask as Momoa won’t admit it) as Aquaman in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, has been on the convention circuit as of late. His recent public convention appearances have ignited the rumors that he has dyed his hair blond, therefore confirming his casting as the King of Atlantis. No, I don’t have any sources from these claims aside from people going on the Internet and posting it all over, therefore this rumor is pretty baseless from the get-go, but I felt like it needed some addressing since I have firsthand knowledge of its validity.

The next stop on his convention tour is here in sunny Miami, FL for Florida Supercon. I can confirm that Momoa has NOT dyed his hair. His hair remains completely unchanged, jet black as always. How do I know? Well, I attended the convention and took cursory glances at his table to be sure. His queue was far too daunting to actually stand in. You don’t believe me, huh? Really? After all this time we’ve spent together trying to forge a rapport based on journalistic integrity and trust? Well, phooey. I’ve got proof.

Here are a couple photos of him at his Q&A that took place yesterday, July 5th.

As a skeptic, I’d probably question whether or not these were recent and not just some random convention he did years ago. Well, check the Florida Supercon logos behind him for confirmation and to corroborate the claims, go to the official Florida Supercon website and confirm the guest list for this year. Right at the top of the page. Good enough?

There you have it, Momoa has not dyed his hair blond. That’s your bit of non-news for today. Take that for whatever you can. Maybe he’s going to dye it closer to his shoot dates. Maybe they’ll digitally alter his hair in post-production. Maybe the character won’t have the trademark blond hair.

Now, whether or not he spoke on Aquaman, I can’t say. I wasn’t able to attend his Q&A, but I can’t imagine that he’d be willing to give a more succinct answer to random fans at a convention as opposed to a late night talk show.
