John Leguizamo As The Joker? (RUMOR)

No, this hasn’t been confirmed. But the actor has mentioned his want to play as The Joker.

In an interview with Desde Hollywood, Leguizamo mentioned:

“…hell yeah, I would do Batman. The Joker would be a blast!”

You all remember the original Joker, right? He was played by Cesar Romero in the 1960’s Batman TV show.

Leguizamo also mentioned that he would love to play this role to support his Latin community.

“I went to Comic-Con and 50% were Latin, Black and Asian. I said “Come on! We are so underrepresented and we support the whole industry”.”

Now I love John Leguizamo, don’t get me wrong. But I see him in his Miss Chi Chi role in Too Wong Foo, or voicing the sloth from Ice Age. And while he can certainly play diverse roles, I’m not entirely sure I could see him as The Joker. This villain is psychotic on so many levels, levels that most real life murders and villains don’t reach. But on the same note, Leguizamo can go from spunky to crazy in the blink of an eye. Maybe, if the studio and producers were to do a different vision of The Joker, it could be pulled off. Anything is a possibility. Let us know what YOU think!
