Have you ever wanted to live life as Batman? Dictate his every move, handle situations your own way, and even decide how those dastardly villains are dealt with?

According to DC Comics, you’ll soon have that chance. Using their new, state of the art DC2 Multiverse technology, DC is giving their readers the ability to choose Batman’s fate, as well as our favorite villains. The first interactive comic they’ll be releasing, Batman ’66, will use “a stripped-down version of DC2 Multiverse”, simply called DC2, and will be based on the classic 1960s Batman television show.

To give you an idea of how the sequences would go:

Revealed at the opening of Time Warner’s “The Future of Storytelling” exhibition at the Time Warner Medialab in New York, DC2 Multiverse digital comics layer “dynamic artwork” onto traditional panels. The digital comics will allow readers to alter the story’s outcome through selecting characters, storylines and plot developments. According to DC, each chapter of a comic has “dozens of possible story outcomes.”

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I can’t wait for this release. A new game, a web comic, AND I can decide my superhero icon’s fate? I’m worse than a kid in a candy store. Let us know what you think!
