The anticipated new animated feature, Batman: The Dark Knight Part 1, which will be coming out on September 25th has revealed their voice actor for The Joker. You know him from Lost and Person of Interest, Michael Emerson is the voice actor for The Joker. Now for Emerson who is remembered for his roles as emotionally controlled characters, his new role as The Joker gives Emerson some real emotions. Here’s what Emerson has to say about his role as The Joker:
“He’s one of those great villains that an actor like me likes to play
because he has layers — he has a face for the world and a face for himself,” the Emmy-winning Emerson says of the Joker. “He is, in a way, a villain who is a natural actor. All of that is that is delightful and confounding at the same time.
It’s freeing because of the largeness of it. When he laughs, there’s nothing subdued about it. When he screams in rage, there’s nothing controlled about it. The amp is turned to 11 at all times”
Anyone who has played The Joker has given their best to portray the character in the most sinister way.
