DC has revealed the Super-Pets Special: Bitedentity Crisis one-shot. This book will feature the most popular animals from DC Comics, led by Haley Grayson aka Bite-wing aka Nightwing’s three-legged pet dog.
On top of all that, we’ll also see Krypto, Streaky the Super-Cat, Ch’pp- the squirrel Green Lantern, Jumpa from Wonder Woman, Ace the Bat-Hound, and Gleek. Yes… Gleek- the blue monkey from Superfriends is back!
The Gustavo Duarte variant cover reveals that we might also get appearances from Bat-Cow, Dex’starr of the Red Lantern Corps, and Plastic Man’s Bird. To be totally honest, I wasn’t even aware that Plas had a Super-Pet, but you’ve gotta give Flex credit for making his feathers red and yellow, the colors of Plastic Man himself. He even has a cowlick hair-curl, to further resemble Mr. O’Brian! I don’t know who this bird is, but we need more stories about him.
Anyway, the Super-Pets Special will feature stories about Haley meeting the rest of the pets and also teases that Damian Wayne has a whole secret menagerie army. Well… the Batcave is pretty huge.
