Getting away with cheating, and even being rewarded for it, he grew up to become a carnival employee who cheated his customers out of money with bizarre puzzles and mind games.
Craving more thrills and harder challenges, he went on to become the Riddler, believing himself to be a worthy adversary to the great detective, Batman. His obsession to incorporate riddles, puzzles and deadly traps to prove his intellectual superiority over both The Dark Knight and the police, would ultimately also prove to be his downfall.
