In 2008, moviegoers worldwide watched in awe and jealousy at the thrilling moment Batman premiered his new vehicle, the Batpod, in the stellar film The Dark Knight.

Where does he get those wonderful toys?

Well, Batfans, you now can get your hands on one yourself. You read that right. One of the Batpods from the film, and the 2012 follow up The Dark Knight Rises, is set to go up for auction at Prop Store’s auction in London on September 27. Expected to make £60-80,000 ($79-106,000 USD), it should be one of the auctions highest-selling pieces, and how could it not be (seriously, watch the video again).

The bike was designed by director Christopher Nolan and his production designer Nathan Crowley, and was meant to be an alternative vehicle for Batman as he whipped around Gotham to stop the Joker (and eventually, Bane). Catwoman even got in on the action in TDKR.

A few notes for those of you who are checking your bank accounts right now. Automotive Blog has given us the scoop that the Batpod is for rolling use only. All fluids have been drained. The battery, fuel tank, and throttle controls have been removed. Still, how great would this be parked in your garage?
