Who Can Be The Next Batman?

According to Cosmic Book News, a man named Tyler Hoechlin is being considered as the one to don the Batsuit for the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film.

Regarding the new Batman, Tyler Hoechlin (Teen WolfLincoln Heights7th

Warner Bros. and Snyder are looking at somebody to play the new Batman with a reputation similar to Cavill’s, when Cavill was testing for Superman. It’s also said that better known actors could also be testing for the role. As filming is expected to begin in early 2014, screen tests should be happening soon.

“Better known actors,” they say… Hopefully, the upcoming screen tests will reveal the best choice for the new Batman-on-film, regardless of the star power or even reputation of a given actor; although, the case may be that Hoechlin is the best choice.  Years ago, some (not all) of us were possibly baffled when we realized that Christian Bale was being considered for the part of Batman, but eventually, we grew to hope to see Bale as Batman in each subsequent Bat-film, some of us growing to love, hate, or even mimic his signature Batman-growl.

Indubitably, the attainment of the Batman role is something that most humans would recognize as something to be desired — if “desire” is not understatement.  Many people would agree, including actor Jensen Ackles (of Supernatural fame), whom E Online spoke with recently:

Jensen Ackles

“Any guy in his right mind would die to play Batman,” Ackles says when asked if he’d love to tackle the role opposite Cavill. “It would be a dream come true. I won’t hold my breath.”

We are unsure as to whether or not Ackles will be considered for the future screen tests, but regardless, the role of Batman is incontestably a big deal.

And still, if it is indeed the time to pass the cowl, then may the most suitable actor wear it well.
