New! Beware The Batman: Image and Press Release

Cartoon Network released a bunch of small press releases about their upcoming shows. The only real one worth nothign was the new C.G.I Batman show “Beware The Batman!” Let’s hope this is a little bit less kiddy then the last Batman cartoon “The Brave and the Bold.”

Beware the Batman: A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans. With WBA’s Sam Register executive producing, andBatman Beyond’s Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated’s Mitch Watson producing, Beware the Batman, based on characters from DC Comics, is coming soon to Cartoon Network!

If I remember correctly, when they introduced this show, they had Alfred with a gun. I think I’ll pass.

Alfred w/ a gun would make you pass this show over? Why?

  • Brendan

This is going to be a mess… I know they are trying to do something different by steering clear of a “Joker” story by making this Professor Pyg the main villain… but there is no Batman without Joker. I won’t be tuning in.

Try for the sake of it. Just to see where they’re going w/ it.

I get Batman: Brave and the Bold. When I see Batman in blue, I think people are trying to make him look less dark. I automatically say no immediately. This one looks a little bit more bad ass. It might be trying to approach a cylinder dimension instead of the 2D as usual. I think it might be an upgrade from Batman: Brave and the Bold.
