Infinite Crisis Profiles Gaslight Batman and Doomsday

Infinite Crisis, WB’s forthcoming Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), now profiles the Steampunk-inspired Gaslight Batman and the infamous monster known to have killed Superman, Doomsday. Click the jump to see more.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been getting several Champion profiles of our favorite DC heroes, including Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Zatanna, as well as an alternate version of the Dark Knight, Nightmare Batman. This week, we’ve got the other version of the Bats, Gaslight Batman, and our very first villain, and he’s a doozey.

Check ’em out below:

So far that’s another Batman character that has sufficiently disappointed me. Batman just isn’t a ranged character. He can be, but not with these type of weapons. I suppose I just have to tell myself that he’s not the Batman we know and that more Batman is always best. I do enjoy the fact that Gaslight Batman uses sonic firearms, which is kinda cool and keep in line with Batman’s refusal to use actual guns. So far Nightmare Batman is a melee-based brawler and Gaslight Batman utilizes nothing but gadgets, so our beloved Batman will be a mixture of both? That’s a fair assumption, right?

Talking about melee-based brawlers, nothing better describes Doomsday. There is nothing ranged about this character, right down to the fact that all his abilities are meant to enhance his own skills as an effective tank. Personally, I’m not a fan of tanks, but it makes sense with Doomsday, but forgive me if I’m not giving this beast the analysis he deserves. I’m actually more interested in the fact that Captain Marvel is featured prominently in his profile. I suppose they’re trying to save Superman for a much later date.

Turbine Studios are currently developing Infinite Crisis. There is no set release date for the game, but Beta testing is in progress. You can sign up here.

How do you feel about this alternate version of Batman? How do you feel about Doomsday? Let me know.
