Review by James Attias

Detective Comics #1107 is the start of something new, a green and black day has arrived in Gotham!

The Bat, The Bow and The Bird

This issue marks the start of the highly anticipated new era for this book, with Green Arrow and Black Canary moving to Gotham. This is not just a random thing, these events have been teed up by Green Arrow’s run this year, events in JSA as well as Birds of Prey. Also full disclosure, those titles are not essential reading, so don’t worry, anything that you need to know is well explained in this book. Which by the way, is a really well written first chapter of the new story! I really enjoyed it. It was full of fun, action and mystery…

He Lies Still

I won’t reveal too much about this issue, I’ll save it for next issue, but there is a real mystery in this issue, it was really entertaining to read and not know all the answers, even as a a seasoned reader it’s hard to get one over on old Jim, but this issue was a great read that left me very excited for what comes next!

Conclusion

Detective Comics #1107 is a great start, a great mystery, a great laugh, and a great comic. Tom Taylor, never change!
