The video game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight announced that it is moving up the release on week early.
The anticipated video game is set to come out May 22nd instead of May 29th. Warner Bros. Games made the announcement via a brief trailer.
Previously, TT Games Head of Production and Strategic Director Jonathan Smith reported that they chose the May 29th on purpose. They chose the previous release date so it would not compete with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 and coincide with the Memorial Day holiday.
“We knew we wanted to come out in spring of this year. Look, I want to play that game [GTA 6], but we’re also really glad to have some space for people to play Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. We’re giving you an open city and a fantastic experience for all players. Which I thoroughly recommend.”
There is no word on why they decided to move up the video games’ release. The earlier release date also means that the Deluxe Edition players get their 3 days early access launch even earlier on May 19th.
