Nightwing #135 brings the Cirque du Sin arc to a close, but at what cost? Will Nightwing prevail or will Bludhaven fall? Let’s talk about it…

Final Bow

This has been an epic run, as soon as it started it felt dark, different and fresh. With throwbacks to the nineties, and keeping relationships and relevant plot threads intact. It has been a great run. The next arc is billed as a new era, and a few changes to the creative team. We’ll have to wait and see what changes are made, since Dan Watters is still writing I’m hoping it’s fresh but still on brand for everything that’s come before. As this has been great.
This issue we see Nightwing trying to save the stolen children of the city whilst trapped in the spooky dimension that the Zanni has kidnapped them into. At the end of the last issue we saw that the city was being destroyed whilst this was all happening, so this issue we see the effects and aftermath of that. I really can’t give too much away without spoiling it, but it was a great read. We do get a tonne of wholesome Nightwing moments, Babs being a badass and a few gasp shocks though!

Good Night

The art, the writing and the feel of this story finale were all perfect, any questions or what about’s that I had were answered, as well as a little tease of what’s to come. Overall I couldn’t really ask for more on this one, and wish that more DC titles had this kind of closure on a story. It makes me feel great reading it and I look forward to the next arc. ‘Nuff said!

Conclusion

Nightwing #135 is a perfect story arc finale, that leaves a tantalizing tease for what comes next, so next month in Bludhaven, I’ll see you all there!
