Titans #31 brings us up to speed on all the Titans and what they’re up to… But sadly for Donna and Roy… They’re in real trouble. Let’s get involved!
Titans Together Titans Apart
This issue does a great job when it starts by telling us the whereabouts and status of all the Titans. We know Starfire is fighting in space. Beast Boy and Girl are on an alien world. Nightwing and Raven are in Gemworld. And Cyborg…
Oh Victor Victor Victor. WAS fighting in the DC KO tournament. Spoilers for DC KO #3 after what could possibly be the worst pick of “Choose any tag partner” ever Cyborg has now been eliminated from the tournament. Jeez Victor, anyone in the multiverse and you choose Connor Hawke? I mean you could have picked the ghost of Christmas past and done more damage!? But alas, he’s now been turned to stone and is out. But the Titans don’t know that. What they do know is, Grail Daughter of Darkseid and an army of Parademons have stormed Earth and are doing their utmost to destroy everything in preparation for Darkseid’s arrival. These parts of the story are tragic and full of love. A real treat to read. Love these two as a couple.
On the other side of the page, we have the increasingly troubled adventures of Nightwing and Raven, who are taking on Jinx. Who is now supercharged by the gems of Gemworld. We saw at the end of last issue Raven had found the last resort to help them…This being… Freeing Terra and asking for her help… Good decision? Can she be trusted? Let’s discuss next time Titans!
Divided They Rock
I’ve been reviewing this entire run of Titans, and may before. It’s safe to say having teams of 2/3 members doing different things was a bit worrying at the start. But now that we’re very much in the thick of it. I have to say I’m really enjoying it, we get so many story elements, we have mystery when we don’t see or hear from a character. It’s really fun! Also shout out to the artist, fantastic art in this book and the few preceding it! It never goes unappreciated.
Conclusion
Titans #31 is a great read, with so much going on, I can’t wait for the next issue. What’s gonna happen?!?!
