Batman and Robin #29 is a blood bath! The Ventriloquist and Scarface are back!

Blood and Silver

This book made Scarface relevant again. Made him smart, calculated, and terrifying, not since the Tom King Batman run of old have we seen Wesker used to this level of potential. So that in itself has been really fun to read. We also get to finally understand a bit more about the Quiet man in this issue, seems like a grizzly old version of the Punisher. I’m placing my money that he survives this story and will live to fight another day in the DC universe… But where? And when?

Batman and Robin #29: A Real Treat

I said it before and I’ll say it again… The dialogue written between Batman and Robin is fantastic. We’re really seeing Damian growing into a young man who questions Batman and keeps him accountable. We’re also seeing Bruce try and be a better mentor and father to Damian. Teaching and not just expecting him to follow orders blindly. This is real growth. With Damian making a little mistake in Batman #5 Last week, I hope that this relationship spreads from this book to the other titles and isn’t just growth that will be forgotten!

Conclusion

Batman and Robin #29 is a great really loving this title, the writing, the character development. Can’t be missed!
