DC Comics unveiled the variant covers and release date for Batwoman as a part of their Next Level initiative.
As previously reported, Batwoman co-creator Greg Rucka will be back to script Kate Kane’s adventures. Greek artist DaNi will join Rucka as the illustrator of the comic book.
Rucka promised that he intends to pick up a story line where he left off when he left Batwoman over a decade ago. The official description seems to return to the plot of Kate being at the center of the Crime Religion’s prophecy that has plagued her since her first appearance in 52. The preview also shows the return of Kate’s villain sister Alice.

There are an assortment of variant covers to go along with the debut. Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, Stjepan Šejić, Jorge Corona all contribute to a cover, along with DaNi’s main cover. Additionally, there is a special 1:25 incentive variant by Joshua “Sway” Swaby, although DC did not release the image yet.
Notice how Kate’s Batwoman costume is modified. She now has shoulder points on her cowl similar to Batman’s back during Grant Morrison’s initial JLA run. Also notice the bat-logo is modified. Now, it has thinner wings and looks less like the Batman Beyond logo.
