DC K.O. #2 is more smash and grab then one on one. We’ll see things you could only picture in your nightmares! This one is definitely a Slobber Knocker!

DC K.O. #2: Find The Prize

DC K.O. #2 isn’t what you think. For all of us who have been seeing all of the tournament brackets online, the who would win arguments, the previews for the next round. We all knew this issue was going to have to explain a lot. So allow me to explain what was explained. This issue isn’t a series of one on one fights. We were all wondering how some of the strongest fighters in DC would lose and some would advance in this tournament. Turns out this issue is a … [SPOILER-ISH BEWARE]
“collect the famous DC weapon to stay in the game” issue. I have already given too much away by saying that. But it explains why some heroes and villains advance when they are clearly outmatched in combat and physical strength. Interesting way of doing it. Caught me off guard. I liked it, but for gods sake this book has been going for months now and we still haven’t seen one bloody fight. I’m ready for a fight. December ring the damn bell!

What Happened to….

Two small grumbles I have about this issue. One. We don’t see all of the characters get eliminated. To no ones surprise, what we see is who advances, but some characters are just non-existent. We have been teased about our favourite characters facing off for bloody months, the least they could do is let us see them die! Not just assume they did. And two… I hate to say it but the art. The art just isn’t doing it for me, I found it hard to tell who some characters were, who’s limbs were being ripped off. This is a DC Event book that is potentially leading to a reboot of the entire main continuity. I feel like a more well known and reliable artist team could have put a lot more gravitas on this book. Might just be me, but let me know what you think dear readers!

Conclusion

DC K.O. #2 is a mad battle to get online gaming fans in the mood for comics. I joke, it wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t what we’d been expecting.
