Titans #29 is a great issue that shows us Earth is cut off and gone, but even the places they’ve fled to are not quite safe yet. Let’s jump in.

Gemworld Refuge

The vibe I’m getting from this issue is that we’re going to get an issue a piece of each team, Earth, Space and Beast Planet. With each team, sharing the spotlight as we go. That should hold the Titans over until this whole event is over. Apart from poor Cyborg of course, he’ll be fighting in the tournament, but since we’re a month in and we’ve yet to see one bloody fight… Who knows maybe we won’t see Cy fight at all.
This issue shows us that Nightwing and Raven have taken their share of the refugees of earth and settled on Gemworld. Nice to see Amethyst again, and they raised a really interesting question: If you’re evacuating an entire planet… What happens to the villains? The answer of course is you help everyone, be they good, be they bad. But it sure does open a great number of thoughts and questions, and I’m still enjoying thinking about it.

Space Coolness

As well as showing a page a piece to each titan in this book, there was a section when we follow the ending of last issue with Starfire coming face to face with Granny Goodness and her Furies. This was an awesome moment in the book, I won’t spoil it but there was definitely a hell yeah moment i’m excited for you all to see.
Final discussion point to the art team on this one, why you make Dick sooooo Swole. I mean man oh man, he was huge!?

Conclusion

Titans #29 is a really fun issue that has so much going on, and it’s all fun and interesting to read!
