Review by James Attias
Batman and Robin #27 is a wholesome story about fathers. Trying to do the best for their sons.
Proud
This heartwarming issue progresses the story and really hits home the weight of being a father. Not just any father though, a superhero father to a superhero son. We see Bruce and Clark comparing notes on how to raise a boy in the world they live in with crime being everywhere, and the opportunity for a normal life seeming further away than ever. This issue is very well written and really does emphasize, doing your best for the sake of someone else is the most heroic thing of all.
Speak Up
We also get a few more details in this issue about the villain who is hunting and fighting the other villains. We see how and why The Ventriloquist came into play. But will the Quiet man be stopped? Or will his quest for vengeance cut down anyone who stands in his way? The bad guys were not front and centre in this issue and I liked that, give the heroes a moment in the spotlight, the villains will have their time, I imagine next issue.
Conclusion
Batman and Robin #27 is a warm issue that shows a group of Fathers and their different ways of trying to do what they can for their sons. Beautifully written.
