DC Comics released preview images for the Marvel/DC crossover Batman/Deadpool.
Last month, Marvel released Deadpool/ Batman– the event where the Merc with the Mouth clashes with the Dark Knight. Now, we are treated to DC’s version of the team-up. And it looks as madcap and crazy as writer Grant Morrison promised.
In the Dan Mora-drawn pages, we see Deadpool wading in what looks like a room of blood with bloodied rubber duckies that explode. Unfortunately for our favorite Merc, he lost his legs and Batman is left holding them.
Also, Deadpool and Batman are standing in front of a giant owl statue with the odd phrase “Play Attention” scrawled on its belly. Are the Court of the Owls the main villains for this comic?
Second and Third Printings for “Deadpool/ Batman’
Speaking of Batman and Deadpool team-ups, Marvel is planning on releasing a second and third printing of the hot-selling comic. For the second printing, they will showcase Logo- a mash-up of Wolverine and Lobo introduced in the comic. Ryan Stegman illustrates this cover. For the third printings, Adam Kubert draws a brand-new cover. Marvel also will print virgin covers with Esad Ribic and Russell Dauterman- which does not feature the logos on the front cover.
The second and third printing of Deadpool/ Batman hits comic book shops in October 29th and December 10th.
Other Marvel/ DC Team-Up Pages
On a different note, DC also showed off pages from the other team-ups in Batman/ Deadpool. Hayden Sherman illustrates the first meeting of Constantine and Dr. Strange. It looks like a Constantine gets to visit the Sorcerer Supreme’s Sanctum Sanctorum.
Popular Nightwing artist Bruno Redondo shows Nightwing and Wolverine/ X-23 investigating something in the sewers. Amanda Conner does art for a madcap scene of Harley Quinn and the Hulk showdown where the duo are chasing a robot mouse villain until he crashes into an innocent hot dog cart.
Denys Cowan also illustrated a Static and Ms. Marvel where the two heroes appear to be competing who is going to save a civilian first.
Batman/ Deadpool #1 hits comic book shops on November 19th.
