Robin & Batman: Jason Todd focuses on the struggles of Batman adopting a new Robin different from Dick Grayson.
The title is a follow-up to the original 2022 series that focused on Dick Grayson’s first year as Robin. The original Robin & Batman creative team Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen returns for the sequel series. The new comic is a three-issue limited series.
‘Robin & Batman’ Official Description
Given Jason’s more abrasive personality, the series will show Batman having problems with raising a new Robin. Unfortunately, there is also a new, mysterious villain named Cuckoo who is stalking Gotham. It is up to Batman and Jason Todd to stop him. Check out the full official description for Robin & Batman: Jason Todd below.
Batman has a new Robin, Jason Todd. Jason is a rash, impulsive and reckless kid with a troubled past, who Batman was certain could be molded into Gotham’s next protector. But can the Dark Knight save Jason Todd from the darkness within himself? And when a mysterious new villain, shrouded in white cloth and mystery, sets his sights on Jason, Batman realizes that even he has what it takes to train the anger and torment out of his new young ward.
All-Star Covers Line-Up
The first issue will have a main cover by series artist Dustin Nguyen. It will also feature variant covers by Nguyen and series writer Jeff Lemire, Rafael Albuquerque and John McCrea.
Personally, the Nguyen and Lemire cover is my favorite. It evokes an indie comic vibe that is not typically seen in superhero comics. This is not surprising since Lemire is probably more well-known for his indie comics work, like Sweet Tooth.
