Review by James Attias

What can I say about Titans #21 There were surprises, there were revelations, there was love, there was hate! There was… Lots to discuss.

Roy Story

This issue was exactly what I wanted. So immediately I’m slightly disappointed. I can’t tell you why loyal readers, as I want you to read it for yourselves. But to give you a spoiler free summary, everything I wanted to happen, happened, almost too easily. A character I cried for returned. We know exactly what’s coming next. All of these things, in my brain were perfect, but I felt like they were a tiny bit rushed. I don’t know, maybe I’m just not used to getting what I want, so the first time I do, I want to reject it? Maybe this is my own battle with Psycho Pirate. All in all it was a great read… So why do I feel weird about it?

Friends ‘Til The End

So, credit to the artists, this book looked beautiful. Credit to the writers, it was a well told story with wonderful true dialogue. Now for my moody blues, there was something off, I don’t know if it was the Psycho Pirate effect on the characters or if it was a storyline being wrapped up a little too quickly. Maybe I’ll re-read and see if it changes my mind. But I really liked the issue. Let there be no doubt!

Conclusion

Titans #21 has me happy and confused. Good book, but something was off. Like a food on the day it expires, probably good, but I’ll only know in time.
