Nightwing #123 has Monsters, Mayhem and Mind games. Things are getting tense for poor Nightwing. He’s trying his best… But for the first time in a while, is he outmatched?

Buzz Off

Now that we’re safely in the Watters Era of Nightwing and the Taylor era lives in nostalgic recent memory. We have to face the fact that our beloved hero might actually lose… When I say lose I mean, he’ll lose face, he’ll lose the people, and he may even lose the family around him that we’ve seen him build. It’s refreshing to read, as there was a level of comfort knowing what could come next. Whereas now, when I read I feel consequences, on a deeper level.

Night-Hare?

The different gangs that have been a key point of this story have made for some very interesting artwork. This issue is no exception. Seeing the creativity flow for some new bad guys, goons and monsters was fun. The creativity really shone through. There was a tad too much exposition spoken from someone who had a monstrous speech impediment. But that would be my only gripe with this issue.

Conclusion

Nightwing #123 is a dark issue showing what Nightwing will be facing going forward if he intends to keep his word and save Blüdhaven.
