Batman and Robin #18 is a brutal issue, that reminds us of the age old questions, What is Batman without Robin, and what Robin without Batman?

Like Old Times

My review for this issue will be brief, as I don’t want to spoil anything. It was awesome to see Batman teaming back up with the Wild Child of the family Jason Todd. But during this issue, Batman has been infected with a fear toxin of sorts. So don’t believe everything you see, and don’t believe that everything said is spoken from the heart.
This truly is a bit of a tense gut wrenching issue.

Robin… No More?

Damian is one of the smartest kids in the DC Universe. He lacks people skills and he lacks a little wisdom. But he’s no fool. This issue and this entire storyline have been great for building him as a character, adding levels we haven’t seen yet. I hate how sometimes when new writers pick up a character and undo what a previous writer has spent an entire run to develop. (Sometimes it’s necessary, but this time we’re looking good). So enjoy this issue, loyal readers. It really hits the dynamic duo where it hurts.

Conclusion

Batman and Robin #18 is an emotional read, if you’re a fan of the character Robin, Damian Wayne and having your heart broken, this is the issue for you!
