Well, that is one way to travel. If everyone could just ask The Green to zip them across the country we would be helping the environment by lowering our Carbon Footprints! Let’s see if this little trip is going to be as chaotic as I think it will be in Poison Ivy #29.

Seattle Surprises

I don’t know if I read too much, or if it was super obvious… but I kind of saw the plot twist coming in Poison Ivy #29. G. Willow Wilson is such a good writer and sets up things months in advance. The threads were all weaving together and culminated in a single plot point that would be the only thing that made sense.
I loved seeing Ivy being all “I am not a goddess, even though I am. Just don’t worship me”. Pam has a lot going on lately, and I can appreciate that she is in her own head. However, is there really any excuse to not see what is going on right in front of your face… Janet from HR and Killer Croc… you’re naughty!!!

I understood where the plot twist was coming from, and I get it. It fits with the story and the people and their motives. Again, I really have no idea if it was just me, but I thought it was super clear as to who was behind the whole “The Green Knight” thing.

Plant Pups

Oooo, there were some great panels coming from the artists for Poison Ivy #29. Marcio Takara and Arif Prianto collaborate really well, and they always have. They create such ethereal imagery when interweaving commonly known things, and The Green. It flows so well off the page, and looks amazing in color. The stand out this issue for me, was definitely the pups. What good boys!!

Conclusion

I was a little disappointed I saw the plot twist coming this issue. It was still a great storyline, and I think it probably shocked a fair amount of people. G. Willow Wilson is a very good story teller and you can see how much forethought she puts into these issues.
