Batman Unburied: Fallen City is the follow-up to the first Unburied podcast drama.
Fallen City shows a reimagined Bruce Wayne as Batman. This time the Dark Knight will face against Two-Face as well as this mysterious Oracle. As Bruce Wayne, he will start up a social program with Harvey Dent that will ruffle the feathers of some of Gotham City’s richest families. But things fall apart when Dent goes missing. Batman is forced to uncover a secret society conspiracy that has ties to Gotham’s history and his parents’ death.
From the sounds of it, Batman will also have to contend with the Court of Owls on top of Two-Face.
The New Voice of Batman
Winston Duke voiced Batman/ Bruce Wayne for the first season of Unburied. However in the sequel season, Oscar winner Colman Domingo will be voicing the role. According to Domingo, this Bruce will be reeling from the events of the previous season. He will still be grieving his parents’ deaths.
“This story, one that explores Bruce losing a friend and an emotional new discovery about his parents’ death, was exciting and challenging. I can’t wait for listeners to experience the twists and turns awaiting them.”
The Rest of the Cast for ‘Batman Unburied: Fallen City’
Other actors from the previous season do return to reprise their roles. Gina Rodriguez and Jason Isaacs are both back as Barbara Gordon and Alfred respectively. They are also joined by Monica Baccarin as Allie, Andre Holland as Harvey Dent/ Two-Face, Cheech Marin as Jim Gordon, Tahar Rah as The Patriarch, and Alan Ruck as Coby Williamson.
Saladin Ahmed, alongside Jess Carson and Meghan Fitzmartin wrote and produced the podcast. Alex Kemp directed the episodes. David S. Goyer, Keith Levine, and Gracie Wheelan of Phantom Four and Spotify Studios’ Liz Gateley and Rachel Wolf executive produced it.
The first episode of Batman Unburied: Fallen City is already out.
