Thought Bubble, the award-winning Yorkshire comic convention and festival has announced more guests appearing at this year’s event. Loved by creators and fans alike, Thought Bubble will take over the massive Harrogate Convention Centre this November for their seventeenth convention.
Announced today as special guests for Thought Bubble 2024 are award-winning comic writer and artist E.M Carroll (A Guest in the House, When I Arrived at the Castle), Thought Bubble festival founder and Eisner Award-winning artist Tula Lotay (Somna, Barnstormers), popular online creator turned comic creator Lewis Hancox (Escape from St. Hell), and UK based Egyptian comic book artist Ahmed Raafat, best known for Dark Horse’s Quick Stops.
Joining them will be GLAAD Award Nominee Comic Artist and Writer, Claudia Aguirre, Wizards Of the Coast artist and Creator of Dark Horse graphic novels Raiders and Birdking, Crom, UK-based comic artist and illustrator Bex Glendining, American illustrator and cartoonist J.Marshall Smith, comic book legend Mike Perkins whose career spans from Captain America to Spider-Man to Swamp Thing, and iconic multi-award winning comics author, Ram V (Detective Comics/Swamp Thing/Justice League Dark.
They join previously announced guests including Steven Appleby, Sweeney Boo, Lucie Ebrey, Lee Garbett, Tini Howard, Jock, Khary Randolph, Emma Ríos, Jamila Rowser, Joanne Starer, Luana Vecchio, and J.L Westover.
With record numbers of artists & creators applying to exhibit in November, the Thought Bubble team has carefully worked through over 1000 applications and portfolios to curate their 2024 exhibitor halls with more details on this year’s artists to be revealed soon.
Thought Bubble attendees can collect their tickets early thanks to box office desks set up in independent venues around Harrogate on Friday evening. This early collection will cut down queuing time on the first day of the convention as well as encourage Thought Bubble fans to explore and support more of Harrogate’s independent businesses.
Tickets for the Thought Bubble Comic Convention are on sale now, with newly introduced ticket options for families and students, while those under 12, carers, and over 65s tickets remain totally free. Tickets give access to all events within the comic convention weekend; panels, workshops, guest signings, as well as the three huge halls of over 400 exhibitors, publishers, and much more still to be announced.
Thought Bubble will be sharing details on further guests, exhibitors, and their 2024 programme over the coming months.
