‘Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic’ Coming In July 2023

After the success of last year’s Batman Beyond: Neo-Year six-issue mini-series, from Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing and Max Dunbar, the creative team have reunited to bring future fans Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic!

Bruce Wayne is dead, so Terry McGinnis is officially flying solo as Ne-Gotham’s one and only Dark Knight. What does the future hold for our favorite future Batman?

Here’s DC’s official press-release:

Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic: More ‘Schway’ On the Way
from Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Max Dunbar
in an All-New Series!

“The fan-favorite team of writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, with artist Max Dunbar, return to the streets of Neo-Gotham as Terry McGinnis learns to fight crime in a city without Bruce Wayne to guide him in Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic, a new series from DC.

In Batman Beyond: Neo-Year, Terry McGinnis mourned the passing of his mentor, and defeated the evil A.I. controlling Neo-Gotham, asserting himself as the one true Batman, but this next battle will bring him to the remains of Old Gotham.”

“Children are going missing and being swallowed by the city’s old bones. Batman will have to go underground, led by a mysterious splicer named Kyle the Catboi, to find the children and confront the city’s buried sins. What happened to the green of the city? What happened to magic? Which villains never left old Gotham?

Arriving in comic book shops and participating digital platforms on July 25, this futuristic series featuring a main cover by series artist Dunbar, with variant covers by Christian Ward, Ejikure, Belén Ortega, and Dike Ruan. Visit your local comic book shop for availability and pre-ordering.”

I’ve followed every volume of the Batman Beyond comics since the very first series, way back in 1999, so this title’s definitely going on my pull-list.

What about you, dear reader? Will you be picking this book up? We’d love to hear from all the Terry McGinnis fans out there!
