The Batman: Part II To Begin Filming This Winter

Robert Pattinson will be returning as the Dark Knight as director Matt Reeves has officially announced that The Batman: Part II will begin filming this winter.

After all the worry about Warner Brothers canceling TV shows and movies, even with James Gunn confirming that they will not be going after The Batman, it’s nice to see that production is about to start.

The Batman team will most likely be returning to Liverpool, England, and Glasgow, Scotland to film on location, as well as at Warner Bros. Levensden Studios. Although no exterior shooting has been confirmed yet, it would be unlikely for the sequel to be filmed in completely different locations from those used for the first movie.

We will also be getting The Penguin, a series showing on HBO Max featuring Colin Farrell, which is set one week after The Batman ended. The series will be a bridge between the two movies, giving us an idea about how Gotham has changed and what else is starting to cause trouble for Gothamites. Maybe we’ll even get some hints as to what villain will show their face in the second movie.

The Batman: Part II is set to hit cinemas on October 3rd, 2025. It looks like it’s very far away for such an early announcement as nothing else has been revealed about the second movie, except for the possible release date if everything goes to plan, and when filming is set to begin. We can’t wait to see what Reeves has in store for us and what other characters he plans to bring to life on the big screen.

Is there anything you’re hoping to see? What villain do you want to see as the big bad for The Batman: Part II? Tell us in the comments.
