The Castle Wayne Burns Supper will draw on Bruce Wayne’s Scottish heritage and the evening will take the form of a night at Wayne’s ancestral highland home.
Guests can expect all the traditional trappings, including the piping of the haggis, a ceilidh band, dancing, and more. All of this will be set alongside a special three-course set menu for £65pp with canapés and optional paired whiskies.
The menu for the evening will include Canapés from the Castle Wayne Estate. These will include Warm potato pancakes with whiskey-and-soy-smoked salmon, Scottish salmon caviar with crème fraîche, Black pudding, apple, and smoked chicken toastie with pickled walnuts.
The main event includes three courses created by acclaimed chef Alyn Williams, all rooted in Gaelic gastronomy and with the option to add a whisky pairing alongside. The three courses include- Orkney scallop, Cullen skink, leeks(Paired with Glenfiddich 12yo (suppl. 14)), Haggis, neeps & tatties, a glass of buckshot (Paired with Glenfiddich 15yo (suppl. 14)) and to round things off Cranachan (Paired with Glenfiddich 18yo (suppl. 38)).
Before the supper, a ceremony will take place which will include Piping the Haggis, Toast to the Haggis, and a Toast to the Lassies.
Before guests leave, they can also round off their experience at the bar in Art Deco masterpiece, Pennyworth’s, with a nightcap of a rare and exclusive bottling of Inishtree. With only 25 bottles left from the closed Imperial distillery, this 25yo single malt (£495) is a hugely sought-after collector’s bottle.
Or, guests can sample something from the unique and elegant robotic whisky decanter which has a specially designed cantilever system engineered to provide the perfect pour.
