CinemaCon Premieres ‘Flash’ Footage featuring Michael Keaton’s Batman

CinemaCon has previewed attendees an extended look of The Flash film with plenty of new Batman scenes.

Unfortunately, CinemaCon shows footage exclusively for their guests meaning that there’s no preview of it online, and we have to rely on descriptions.

Check out ScreenRant‘s description below.

Time has a pattern in the footage, with multiple shots of Barry waiting in line. Barry ends up running back in time to see his mother, Nora Allen, be killed.

Keaton’s Batman, at one point says, “You want to get nuts? Let’s get nuts,” with a smile on his face, with the quote being from the original Batman ’89 film. He does this while in his Batman costume, without his cowl. As expected, Bruce has gray hair, making it clear that this is an older Caped Crusader.

Michael Shannon’s Zod also makes a quick appearance while giving fans a first look at Sasha Calle’s Supergirl.

The footage also reveals Keaton’s Batman riding a Batcycle while a car flies over him in slow motion. There’s also a shot at Keaton’s multiple Batsuits in Wayne Manor, all being variations of the ’89 costume.

Batman Returns at CinemaCon

Holy cow, that’s a lot to unpack! Amongst the surprises, are an old Michael Keaton Bruce Wayne, Supergirl, the Bat-Cycle, and the shocking return of Michael Shannon’s General Zod, a villain who hasn’t been seen since 2013’s Man of Steel.

Batman ’89 fans will also get an extra treat with Wayne saying the iconic the callback line, “You want to get nuts? Let’s get nuts”

Fans were also treated to a new logo for The Flash movie

As you can see, the words look more stylized and better integrated into the actual lightning bolt symbol. Interestingly, the words may or may not intentionally be riffing off Metallica’s logo.

The preview and new logo are all too awesome! Unfortunately, it will be a while before fans will get to see the full movie as The Flash has been pushed back from November 2022 to June 23, 2023.
