Is Killer Croc coming to Batwoman Season 3?

The Season 3 trailer for Batwoman dropped earlier this week and gave some hints at what villains we should expect in the latest chapter of the show.

It’s already been confirmed that Poison Ivy will be joining Season 3 of Batwoman, played by Marvel’s Agent Carter’s Bridget Regan. The trailer confirmed The Mad Hatter, played by Wayward Pines’s Amitai Marmorstein, will play a role this season as well. However, the trailer may have also confirmed that another villain will make an appearance in Season 3.

Around forty-five seconds into the trailer, Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) is shown leaping onto the back/shoulders of a scaley creature. The footage is very brief—and dark—but it’s hard to mistake that beast for anyone else in the Bat-mythos; Killer Croc has arrived!

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Killer Croc is joining the show; his tooth was seen among the other Batman trophies near the end of Season 2. In addition to Croc’s tooth, we also saw the aforementioned Mad Hatter’s hat, the Penguin’s umbrella, and a jar of mud—Clayface perhaps? What’s interesting though, is that we may not necessarily be getting the versions of these villains you’d think we would. Leslie had this to say about the Batwoman Season 3 storyline:

So freaking epic. Like literally a lot of your epic Batman villains, we have all of their weapons and they’ve all been released into the river and people are going to find [them] and you’re going to find the effects that these weapons have on these normal Gotham citizens and then becoming like these supervillains, and it’s just going to be so much fun. I can’t wait! I’m excited because we’re about to start shooting season 3 and I can’t wait to read the scripts and to see where it goes.

What do you think? Are the actual villains coming to Gotham? Or are these weapons going to twist normal Gotham citizens’ minds? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
