Dwayne Johnson Keeps Sharing ‘Black Adam’ Teasers

I’m clearly a very excitable writer, but I’m genuinely so pumped for Black Adam to be released! Dwayne Johnson has been providing sneak peeks into the upcoming film, and it’s been a bit torturous.

Despite Johnson (who will portray the titular character) sharing teaser after teaser about the upcoming blockbuster, we still don’t know a lot about the film. Black Adam recently wrapped filming, Johnson revealed via Instagram, but we have yet to learn much of anything helpful about the movie. Even the official teaser trailer showed an animated version of Johnson’s character rather than actual footage.

However, Dwayne Johnson is continuing to be a good spokesman for the film. Recently, Johnson posted another behind the scenes photo on his social media accounts.

On set.
BLACK ADAM⚡️

This image of Black Adam from behind gives you a tactile sense of the absolute massive scale and size of our movie.

You also see a little of the intricate and beautiful textured detail of Black Adam’s body suit.
(this is not your typical DC or Marvel padded muscle suit)

And finally you get a glimpse of the enormous and appropriate destruction.

As we all know, superheroes have a code of justice and don’t kill the bad guys.

But, Black Adam does.

The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is changing.

Antihero.
Man in black.
Protector of his people.

In the caption of the image, the actor provided more information about Black Adam than we’ve really received before. The antihero is already fairly well-known for his mix of good and bad, but reading Johnson’s own words about the character is a great point of view.

It will be fascinating to see charismatic and highly likeable “The Rock” play such a mysterious character with mixed motives. Black Adam is still over a year from release, but we are ready for the film right now! Hopefully Johnson will continue to provide breadcrumbs about the film until then.

Black Adam hits theaters July 29, 2022.
