This Is Who They Are… Titans

Multiple generations of fans have become familiar with the Titans in different ways since their formation and introduction into the DC Universe in 1964 as The Teen Titans. The group became even more popular after the legendary 80s comics series by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, and the Cartoon Network animated series it inspired in 2003. After the show’s original run ended the whacky Teen Titans Go! made its debut. As well as one of their current comic series, Teen Titans Academy. we now also have the brilliant HBO series Titans. for the newest generation to get to know the troubled teens.

They’ve also had a lot more members over the decades: Robin/Nightwing, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Speedy, Aquagirl, Harlequin (not Harley Quinn), Robin (Tim Drake), Bumblebee, Hawk, Dove, Terra, Wonder Girl, Impulse/Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, Ravager, Blue Beetle, Solstice, Bunker, Robin (Damian) and now Red Hood, have all been part of the Teen Titans at some point.

Similar to the show’s theme, Titans United follows the team as they investigate a case while struggling with their own identities and powers. Revelations by the Titans will cause major effects on the entire team.  The story for the miniseries came from writer Cavan Scott whose recent projects include Shadow Service and Star Wars: The High Republic.
