‘Batman: The Long Halloween’ Part One Trailer AND Cast Revealed

The fan-favorite comic storyline gets animated in Batman: The Long Halloween Part One.

The next DC Animated movie will adapt the critically acclaimed The Long Halloween. As it’s done in the past for stories that have more meat to them, Warner Bros. Animation will release the latest Batman movie in two parts. Check out the trailer for Part One below!

Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles puts the cowl on as Batman for this two-part story. Batman: The Long Halloween isn’t Ackles’ first foray into the world of DC, as he previously played the titular character in the animated feature Batman: Under the Red Hood and also appeared in Smallville as Jason Teague.

Originally published as a 13-issue limited series in 1996, The Long Halloween is set shortly after the events of Batman: Year One. For those unfamiliar with the story, it takes place over the course of a year. Batman, James Gordon, and Harvey Dent take on the Falcone crime family, and hunt down a serial killer known as Holiday.

Batman: The Long Halloween Part One will be released in the Summer of 2021 with Part Two following in the Fall. Fans can expect things to get worse for The Dark Knight too; while Part One is rated PG-13, Batman: The Long Halloween Part Two will be rated R.
