WB Announce ‘The Suicide Squad’ Panel for Comic Con Experience Brazil

Article by Adam Poncharoensub

Of the upcoming flicks on the DC Films slate that I’m most excited about is The Suicide Squad. The Batman is way too far away, and while I will be watching it, the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer did very little for me. I’m just a huge fan of James Gunn and his brand of off-beat humor, mixed in with genuine themes of family and friendship. At DC FanDome last August, Gunn and the cast presented a roll call and a behind-the-scenes featurette, but no trailer, despite Gunn assuring fans that filming was complete and editing was underway. However, I’m hoping that will rectified shortly, as WB has officially announced The Suicide Squad panel for Comic Con Experience Brazil.

Last year’s Brazil show drew in massive crowds, upwards of 280,000 attendees. Legitimized by huge entertainment companies like Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and Disney, it has become one of the largest pop culture events in the world. After all, it was the event that WB chose to debut the first Wonder Woman 1984 trailer. So it seems, with CCXP happening next weekend, WB has announced that The Suicide Squad panel for Comic Con Experience. With that, I’m desperately hoping for our first trailer.

First trailer?

Check out the tweet below:

A perfunctory use of Google Translate tells me it says:

It’s a lot of people and it’s crazy. There is no squad more fun than this! ?
Check out this troupe on our panel at #CCXPWorlds, December 6 at 5 pm

It makes sense. Make a big deal about their presence at Comic Con Experience and drop that sweet trailer. By December, we’ll only be 9 months away from the big release, which means they should probably start hyping it up a little bit, right? James Gunn can only do so much. Since WB dropped their first WW1984 trailer at last year’s CCXP in October and the release date at the time being June, there’s no chance that WB is NOT debuting the first TSS trailer…. right? Please?!

Let’s just wait until Saturday, December 6, around 3PM EST. Hopefully, something hits YouTube.

The Suicide Squad will be released on August 6, 2021.
