‘Knightfall’ Batman MAFEX Figure Up for Pre-Order

Sideshow Collectibles and Medicom Toys are ready to start taking your money for next Christmas. You know, you might as well look forward and to the future when the pandemic has subsided… hopefully. A certainly unexpected choice to turn into a figure, available for pre-order now is the Knightfall Batman MAFEX figure.

In case you weren’t aware, MAFEX figures are highly articulated, high quality figures made by Medicom Toys. Last we heard from Medicom and Sideshow, they wowed us with pre-orders for The Dark Knight Returns Batman and Robin. This time, however, they’ve chosen Jean-Paul Valley’s short stint as Batman, otherwise known as Knightfall Batman. In the Knightfall arc, following Batman’s incapacitation by Bane, Jean-Paul Valley took up the mantle of the Bat and created his own head-turning costume. It’s a little gaudy for my taste, but I suppose it looked good on ’90s comic book covers. Yes, that Batman has now been honored with his own MAFEX figure. Though I’ve never been a fan of the Knightfall Batman, it doesn’t mean his MAFEX figure will be lacking.

Gorgeous as always. I think almost gasped when I saw the pose of his cape fluttering around him. That’s like the most classic Batman pose ever. Once again, it looks like we’re getting a beautiful cloth cape filled with poseable wires. I’m a sucker for those things, man.
