Zoe Kravitz Jokes They’ll Have To Make Cat Suit Bigger

Article by Chris Foti

Earlier this week, Warner Bros. announced that The Batman release date has been pushed from June 25, 2021 to October 2021. In mid-March, production on the Matt Reeves film was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, the hope was to resume production after two weeks. However, with COVID-19 showing no signs of slowing down, The Batman, like most things in the world, is on hold until the pandemic gets under control. The recommended method of preventing the spread of the disease is to practice social distancing, which means staying home whenever possible. If you need to go out for essential items, remain a safe and appropriate distance from people. Of course, this means places like gyms and workout facilities can not stay open. Zoe Kravitz, who will be playing Selina Kyle/Catwoman in The Batman, joked that they will have to make the Catsuit bigger when production resumes.

So, I mean, it’s not like the studio called and said, “Don’t get fat, b!+(#”, but I had been training now for maybe four or five months and the first couple weeks that I self quarantined, I remember texting the director, I texted Matt and I was like, “We might have to make the cat suit a few sizes bigger when this is over.”

Like most people, Zoe got creative with her workouts and committed to a five-day training schedule at home.

It’s actually been really great just for my mental health. And kind of foods, kind of the only thing that I have, food and wine bringing me joy now. So I’m definitely eating whatever the (bleep) I want. But yeah, try to stay in decent shape so I don’t have to start from scratch.

It’s great to see Zoe Kravitz remaining committed to the role and doing what she can to keep her level of training as it was before the pandemic. I’m sure Robert Pattinson is doing something similar for his role of Batman/Bruce Wayne.

At this point the hope is for The Batman to resume production by or before September 2020. Assuming production doesn’t get delayed further due to COVID-19, The Batman is scheduled to be released on October 1, 2021.
