Bat-Tastic 2020 Collectibles Coming From Sideshow

Article by Steve J. Ray

Sideshow Collectibles have never let fans of the Dark Knight down, and they have a Bat-Tastic 2020 lined up for us all, featuring some terrific new items.

First off are two incredibly lifelike pieces from Hot Toys, depicting the Dynamic Duo of Batman and Robin. Batman Forever divided audiences, but I liked the film more than most. I honestly didn’t dislike it at all, particularly the performances of Val Kilmer and Chris O’Donnell, which I thought were pretty spot on.

These two collectibles are highly detailed and bear remarkable likenesses to the two actors they’re based on. Check them out!

Heroes, and Villains, and Vehicles… Oh, My!

Never let it be said that it’s only the original Bat-Family members, or just the heroes of the DC universe that Sideshow base their works on. Also coming soon are a brilliant comics-centric Barbara Gordon Batgirl, Heath Ledger’s iconic nurse uniform Joker – from The Dark Knight –  and the terrific Batmobile, from the Justice League movie. Harley Quinn fans should’t feel left out either, as the new “Hell On Wheels” piece is also visually stunning.

Once again, as with everything Sideshow produce, the artistry and quality of these statues and models is astounding. The level of detail in the costumes, the realism and lifelike accuracy in the collectibles based on actors, and the intricacy of the vehicles, really is second to none.

The Batgirl piece has real hair, Joker is both hilarious and terrifying, and that Batmobile is a weapon of mass destruction. Don’t just take my word for it, see for yourselves:

As always Dark Knight News will give you the lowdown on these, and every other Batman related Sideshow Collectibles release. All of the items pictured and described will be arriving in the new year, and we’ll be there with specs and details as soon as they become available.

What do you make of these excellent new pieces? Do you have a Bat-Tastic 2020 planned? Will you be adding any, or all of these collectibles to your collections? If so, please be sure to let us know.
