“Lost in the Multiverse” – Part Five
Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
Artist: John Timms
Color Artist: Gabe Eltaeb

Review by: Philip Clark
Young Justice #11 brings in a brand new hero, Naomi, to the pages of my favorite title. With her comes a new, and old, problem for our young heroes to challenge; Dr. Glory, who was behind Superboy’s initial disappearance and journey to Gemworld.
The heroes have finally made it home, only to have just one night’s rest before having to jump right into thick of things again. The life of a teenage hero can mean missing out on things like sleepovers at a friend’s house, so it’s nice to see that the team do normal things like that before having to be heroes again.
Who is Dr. Glory?
Bendis does a great job at bringing in characters and drip feeding information about them until they become an integral part of the story. Dr. Glory is definitely someone who’s going to be a thorn in the side of our young heroes. She’s smart, crafty, and manipulative. What she wants with Naomi is a mystery, and the fact that she keeps sending Superboy away is a constant annoyance.
Is she working for a bigger bad perhaps? Maybe one from a different universe?
Bendis’ Multiverse
Bendis is doing everything right with this comic run right now. The universe he’s creating around these young heroes is incredible! I simply loved Gemworld, and then the quick bounce around the multiverse we got. Now that universe is expanding with Naomi, her home planet, and Superboy being shipped off to yet another planet. With he and Impulse missing, will the team manage to take care of Dr. Glory and whatever devious plans she has up her sleeve?
Conclusion
Young Justice #11 ends on yet another cliffhanger. Bendis really needs to sort that out! I’d like for once not to be left wondering what’s going to happen to our heroes, or where some of them are. There’s already enough going on the background of this series, that we don’t need anything more.
The artwork from Timms is yet again, simply beautiful. The costumes are an absolute joy to look at! The chaos of multiverse jumping is put on the page, and I can genuinely feel the craziness.
Everything about this comic is so freaking good! I look forward to seeing where Bendis and co. take this.
