Peter Sarsgaard Cast In ‘The Batman’

Article by Chris Foti

Peter Sarsgaard has been cast in The Batman. As has been custom for all the casting announcements, director Matt Reeves made it official on his Twitter feed. Interestingly enough, Reeves doesn’t reveal who Sarsgaard is playing, like he did with his other casting announcements.

While Reeves doesn’t explicitly say who Sarsgaard is playing, he might’ve hinted at it in the image. It’s long been teased that Harvey Dent will be in The Batman and there are two faces in the picture…

Peter Sarsgaard is no stranger to comic book films. He played Hector Hammond in 2011’s Green Lantern, a film and a role I think we all try to forget about. It’s good to see him get another crack at it.

Sarsgaard will be joining Robert Pattinson as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Zoe Kravtiz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Andy Serkis as Alfred. The cast is really starting to take shape.

With the film set to release on June 25, 2021 and seemingly all, if not most, important roles cast, I’d imagine they will start rolling the cameras on this soon.

If not Harvey Dent, who do you think Peter Sarsgaard will be portraying in The Batman? Let us know!
