‘Entertainment Weekly’ Celebrates Arrowverse Heroes

Entertainment Weekly have shared the upcoming covers for their annual homage to San-Diego Comic Con. The “Crisis On Infinite Earths” crossover is coming later this year, and the latest EW celebrates the Arrowverse heroes with a series of covers and a stunning photoshoot.

The five covers feature the main leads of the heroes from the linked CW shows. This sadly does not include Black Lightning, but we do get Ruby Rose as Batwoman! We also have beautiful shots of Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Flash (Grant Gustin), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), and White Canary (Caity Lotz) from Legends of Tomorrow.

The pics are impressive and stunning. The covers pay homages to comics versions of the original DC Comics super heroes. For example, Ruby Rose’s Batwoman follows the cover of Micheal Cho’s variant design for Batwoman #11. While Supergirl performs a pose similar to Neal Adams’ Superman breaking of chains. The empowering poses are a win for women in comics, hands down, and the intricate interview of these passionate, and now iconic actors, can be read here.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will see Batwoman takes over as Gotham’s next vigilante. Arrow will be wrapping up its final season. Stephen Amell shares:

I’m 38 years old, and I got this job when I was 30. I’d never had a job for more than a year, The fact that I’ve done this for the better part of a decade, and I’m not going to do it anymore, is a little frightening.
