‘Batman: Hush’ Animated Movie Physical Media Release Date Moved Up One Week

Article by Adam Poncharoensub

It’s crazy to think that WB has waited so long to adapt Batman: Hush into an animated movie. There are far lesser and younger comic book stories that have had that honor. Case in point: Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m not saying the series isn’t good, but when you think of the best Batman stories, Hush will come faster to your mind than TMNT. The business strategy does makes sense though, so I can’t fault them for that. Seemingly making up for their error, WB Home Entertainment is moving up the physical media release date for the Batman: Hush animated movie.

The digital release date will remain the same, July 20, 2019, so be sure to check it out next month. However, the physical media and DC Universe release date is moving up to August 6, 2019. It’s still quite some time away and I know I can’t wait. Be sure to pre-order one of the three formats to make sure that it gets to you on August 6.

If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check it out below:

Yes, it is too much to ask for one quiet weekend.

In line with their DC animated universe, Jason O’Mara and Jerry O’Connell (This is probably the most I’ve ever put the letter O next to an apostrophe in one sentence) are returning to reprise their roles as Batman and Superman respectively. Among the special features, we’re also getting a sneak peek at their next animated movie, Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. This will be the first Wonder Woman animated movie since 2009, which is crazier that they waited that long. It’s primarily been Justice League, Batman, and Superman movies since 2011 and they really should vary it up a bit.

Stay tuned to DKN for more updates on Batman: Hush. Be sure to download your copy come July 20 or purchase the Blu-ray/DVD on August 6.
