‘Titans’ Production Start Reportedly Delayed Approximately 2 Weeks

Over the last few weeks, we’ve reported on the supposed date of production start of Season 2 of DC Universe’s Titans. Nothing has been officially announced by WB/DC – and why would they? The general public doesn’t really need to know when production starts – therefore, it’s still best to treat all of this with a grain of salt.

About three weeks ago, we reported here at DKN that the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) had announced the production dates for Titans as March 20 – September 9. A couple of days ago, a news site called GeeksWorldWide released an exclusive stating that production has been pushed back approximately two weeks, starting instead on April 2nd. GWW explained the reason for the delay was due to active casting calls for a number of roles. One of those roles is apparently the assassin, Deathstroke.

Take all the time you need

It seems there’s definitely some weight to this news as a quick check on the IATSE shows the production dates for Titans has in fact been delayed, coinciding with GWW. The IATSE now lists April 2 – September 20.

Personally, it really makes no difference to me how long the production is delayed. With no release date revealed for season 2, they have all the time in the world, really. Considering how somewhat disappointing I personally found season 1, I’d rather they take more time on developing it. I’d rather that they spend more time working on the story and the characters that they already have, rather than adding MORE characters.

While this seems to be fairly credible information, it’s probably best to keep the Morton close by, in case you need to exorcise those rumor demons.

Titans Season 1 can be streamed in its entirety on DC Universe in the US and internationally on Netflix.
