Jason Flemyng Cast In Epix’s ‘Pennyworth’

Coming into their final season, Gotham has created itself a vast fanbase. It’s even managed to get itself a spin-off series! The character of Alfred Pennyworth seems to be getting younger and younger with each portrayal. That trend is set to continue in Epix’s Pennyworth.

The show is set to revolve around the titular character in his early 20s, just starting out life with the Waynes. Young Alfred has already been cast, as has Thomas Wayne.

Epix have released news of most of their official casting choices already, including British singer Paloma Faith, as one of the show’s villains. She is not the only villain to have been cast however. Actor Jason Flemyng has also been announced as a villain on the show.

Flemyng is a fantastic British actor whom you would definitely have seen in Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, amongst many, many others. Here is his IMDB page to prove it.

The actor already has a large following in geek culture for his work in 2003’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, where Flemyng played Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde. This is a character that would fit into the gritty world of DC quite easily.

What does everyone out there think of this casting news? Be sure to let us know.
