Possible ‘Joker’ Movie Logo Revealed

Fresh off the heals of Todd Phillips revealing Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, it seems like we might also know now what the logo of the film will look like.

Found on the subreddit r/DC_Cinematic, redditors found what looks like a leaked image of the official logo for Phillips’s Joker on a director slate. The logo features the word “JOKER” in red, blocky lettering, perhaps as if the Joker wrote it there himself with paint… or another red liquid.

Although the film just began production earlier this month, it’s interesting that we already got the first official image of Phoenix “pre-Joker”, a leaked video of Phoenix filming a scene with a clown, and the above mentioned first look at the Joker makeup.

New Marketing Plan?

It’s an interesting change of marketing that most superhero films, not just DC films, have taken of late. Shazam! took a long time to release their first official image of their hero, even after multiple leaked photos that did not do the costume justice. We still know very little about Aquaman and have only received one trailer, despite it releasing in just about 3 months.

Marvel has been treating their properties the same way. Only this week did we get the first official images and poster of Captain Marvel (not to be confused with DC’s Shazam) and trailer. We STILL don’t even know the title of Avengers 4!

So with so little under their belt at this time, it’s surprising we’ve already seen so much on Joker. It could be because they have the utmost confidence that this will be a great film and want to show their excitement, or perhaps it’s to drive home that this is separate from the continuity of the other films. Who knows, but it sure has us excited.

Joker is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and will also star Robert DeNiro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, and Marc Maron. The film is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2019.
