Script Has Been Completed For ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel

Deadshot, Harley and the gang are coming back to the big screen. That’s right folks, it’s official. The script for Suicide Squad 2 now has a finished draft.

Scriptwriter Todd Stashwick, who co-wrote the upcoming sequel with David Bar Katz and director Gavin O’Connor, has told Discussing Film in an interview that “We have finished our draft and I’m really proud of it”.

Going on to state that he can’t say anything else, Stashwick was only able to let us know that the intention of the sequel is “To tell an exciting story, deepening these characters.”

While plot details still remain unknown, it certainly is exciting news to hear that the script is complete. I’m sure we’ll start hearing more news very soon. Along with Wonder Woman: 1984, Suicide Squad 2 will offer more depth into the DCEU than just the current stand alone productions.

With the upcoming Joker solo title, which has had an official picture released, it will be interesting to see whether Jared Leto will be back to reprise his role as the Clown Prince of Crime, along with the rumoured Birds of Prey film, to star Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. It looks like the stars of Suicide Squad will be frequenting the big screen a lot in the very near future!

Are there any sequels to movies in the DC franchise that you would like to see? Sound off below!
